Dan's June Blog - Silver linings

Having travelled the best part of 6 hours for an on-site meeting with a new client in the North West (thanks evening closures on the A1 and M62, and then heavy traffic getting to York) I received an email 30 minutes before my scheduled meeting postponing the event and asking to rearrange for the following week. Fortunately I had also been in touch with other companies in the local area to offer my services of recruitment consultancy in return for a cup of Yorkshire Tea. To my delight I was taken up on the offer by the wonderful Vicki at Twisted Automotive in Thirsk. We had a great conversation lasting well over an hour about their recruitment strategies to date, plans for expansion in the UK and overseas, and how Alliance Consulting can support in these plans. In particular, attracting talent to relocate to the North East (easy for me as I am passionate about this as a proud Yorkshireman and have a proven track record of doing so) and our many years of experience recruiting in the USA. Even better, in their showroom they also have a wonderful cafe where I enjoyed a late lunch and continued to work at one of their desk spaces for the rest of the afternoon. . .
